I was correct, there was issues with this. Verizon shipped her the wrong battery type, and she sent her son in to rectify this. I explained that all I had done was call Verizon Customer Service on her behalf, and informed them of what was going on. I gave them the phone number for customer service and told them they'd have to call up and make sure Verizon sent the correct battery for the correct phone this time. They might come back in, originally the reason they came in was for a battery replacement that should be under warranty (which is why they're not ordering one through us and paying for it). They've come in 2 times about this already, have been unwilling to pay for a replacement or purchase a new phone, so it's between them and customer service at this point.

Just because the last time I attempted to assist a senior citizen by calling Customer Service on their behalf we got a phone call from Verizon saying I somehow screwed up, I'm just writing you this so you are aware of what occurred.

Barbara Rae (603-986-3324) came in saying that her daughter had called Verizon Wireless, and gotten a warranty replacement battery for her. The battery was supposedly shipped here. I ripped the store apart looking for said battery, and eventually called Customer Service on her behalf, explained the situation, just to find some information. Verizon had no record of ever shipping a battery, and said they would ship a new battery to Barbara, at no cost, to her home address in Wolfeboro. Read: I did not do anything other then call customer service and ask them what Barbara's options were. Any decision made was by Verizon Customer Service, and not by me. I did not screw over any old ladies, all I did was call customer service and customer service said they would do this.

That is all. I'll copy this to a forum in case this somehow comes back to bite us.

Long story short, I did a return for a Gzone Rock leather case. The customer returned it in brand new condition, with the original packaging, including the foam and plastic packaging (ie we can sell it). He chose a different case, which was $2 cheaper. Instead of giving him store credit I gave him the money out of the drawer for the return since it was such a small quantity. Turns out the phone didn’t fit in that case, since I didn’t catch it was for a different phone. I talked it over with him, he left the newly purchased case with us and left me his name and number with me. I think we have the type of case he wants in Wolfeboro, I’m going over tomorrow and told him if we had it in store I’d bring it back over for him on Thursday. He took his copy of the receipt with him proving he’d paid for a case, and I wrote a note explaining it and signed it. If not I told him we’d order one, he’s technically already paid for one, it’s just one of those Gzone Rock holsters where the phone clips into it and it clips onto a belt/pocket.

Let me know if that’s confusing or you need more details. I just wanted you know why there’s a return on the drawer and stuff.

Patrick on "Verizon agrees to refund customers $90 million for wrongful data charges"

Incase somebody asks you...

Did you have a Verizon phone sans data plan, but get billed for data anyhow? Verizon Wireless is dropping $90 million to make things right next month. The company will refund 15 million cellular customers who were wrongly charged for internet use, in the form of $2 to $6 credits on their next bill -- unless the fiasco already caused you to leave, in which case you'll get a similar check in the mail. The New York Times reports that the FCC pressured Verizon into this settlement following hundreds of complaints, so it looks like the squeaky wheel may have won this round. If you can call Verizon treating you to the equivalent of a latte a "win," of course. Read Verizon's full statement after the break.

Verizon Wireless Issuing Credits To Customers

BASKING RIDGE, NJ - OFFICIAL STATEMENT.

May be attributed to Mary Coyne, Deputy General Counsel, Verizon Wireless:

Verizon Wireless values our customer relationships and we always want to do the right thing for our customers.

In October and November, we are notifying about 15 million customers, through their regular bill messages, that we are applying credits to their accounts due to mistaken past data charges. We will mail former customers refund checks. In most cases, these credits are in the $2 to $6 range; some will receive larger credits or refunds.

As we reviewed customer accounts, we discovered that over the past several years approximately 15 million customers who did not have data plans were billed for data sessions on their phones that they did not initiate. These customers would normally have been billed at the standard rate of $1.99 per megabyte for any data they chose to access from their phones. The majority of the data sessions involved minor data exchanges caused by software built into their phones; others involved accessing the web, which should not have incurred charges. We have addressed these issues to avoid unintended data charges in the future.

Verizon Wireless issues credits to customers from time to time based on regular review and monitoring. When we identify errors, we remedy them as quickly as possible. Our goal is to maintain our customers' trust and ensure they receive the best experience possible.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/03/verizon-agrees-to-refund-customers-90-million-for-wrongful-data/

By default, all pages created in Wordpress are included in the menu at the top of the LRC website. To exclude a page form the menu you can do the following. Be careful when editing site source code

Created the page in Wordpress as you usually would and save it as a draft. Make note of it's page_id.

Edit header.php in /wp-content/themes/quadro

At the bottom you should see
<?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&depth=1&exclude=111'); ?>
 add a comma after 111 and type the page id of new page.

ex.
<?php wp_list_pages('title_li=&depth=1&exclude=111, 112'); ?>

Save the file back to the server.

You can now publish your Wordpress page and it should be excluded from the menu.

Ok Guys and Gals,

We have got to start doing 5 Star calls. To access 5 Star, log into Eroes, from there go to Info Center. On the right hand column, top of the list you will see
5-Star / Campaign Manager, click there.

That will bring you to the 5 Star Login page. Logins as listed below.
Moultonborough - 000087545
Wolfeboro - 000093738
Meredith - (no login as of yet. use moultonborough's)

After logging in, make sure the drop down menu says Consumer Customer, than click Get New Activity. Click on the Link for (EOC UPGRD INDRCT). This will populate a page with a customers information. Be sure to only call the home or work number(probably wouldn't use this one), we are NOT ALLOWED to call them on their cell phones. After calling make sure you fill out the correct responses with the check boxes, enter and comments as needed and then click update-continue to have a new customer populated.

What 5 Star does is pull from our outlet history and informs us of previous customers that are now ready for another upgrade. You should write up a phone script to use that basically mentions who you are and that you are calling them because Verizon has informed us that they are eligible for a phone upgrade. Invite them to come see us at the store.

You can say whatever you want, but this is cold calling keep it short and to the point. You can talk their ear off when they come in to see you.

It doesn't like .docx files. Stick to the file types listed. You can always put a file in a zip folder to avoid the denied extensions issue. Here's my word document again.

I added a plugin to allow users to upload files along with their posts. I thought this would be helpful

All posts show up in order of most recent at the top. So basically all my posts are in reverse order right now but you get the idea. You can use the link at the bottom of a post that says stick this post to "stick" it to the top of the forum and it will stay there.

The Hot tags on the left are pretty cool. The bigger the word appears, the more time it has been used as a tag in a post.

You can post new threads within each forum. Each employee can then apply to the thread. It helps to keep threads organized in corresponding forums to keep things neat and tidy. Adding tags is also a great way to make finding specific posts later on. You can use html code in your thread posts.

Add Links:
LRC Website

Use blockquote for quotes

You can use the code tag to show html code and not have it parsed by the browser. Like this
<img src="/picture.jpg" />

You can also put code between backticks...` <---like that one. They are next to the 1 key.

Lists are really cool too because:

The keep things organized

That's about it

Order lists have numbers:

like this

or this

Using Bold text is fun too

This was my example of a new thread post. Any questions?
